ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- An employee of the Absolute Weight Loss Clinic is recovering after being shot.
Officers said the incident happened Wednesday night at the clinic's location at 1000 Sunrise Ave.
Investigators said the shooter went up to the victim as he was leaving work. The two exchanged words and the shooter shot the man in the torso.
Police said the shooter ran away while the victim made his way down the complex and collapsed.
The victim was taken to Sutter Roseville Hospital where he underwent surgery. Officials said they believe his injuries are not life-threatening.
Roseville police had the shopping center blocked off while they investigate. The shooter has not been found.
Officers said they don't know the motive of the shooting or if the men knew each other.
