Convenience Store on Cirby Way Robbed

April 13 - Rosevillept.com At 11:34 p.m., a convenience store at 199 Cirby Way was robbed. Two males entered the store, pointed handguns at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. They took cash from the register, tried unsuccessfully to break into the store’s locked office, and then left. No injuries were reported.

Thieves target pickup truck tool boxes in Roseville, Cirby Ranch area

By Toby Lewis, The Press Tribune Roseville police are warning truck owners with tool beds to be aware after a recent increase in tool thefts. Police have received four reports of thefts from pickup tool boxes in the Meadow Oaks and Cirby Ranch neighborhoods over the past week. The thief, or thieves, targeted construction company pickups or other company trucks, got into the tool boxes in the truck beds and stole tools and equipment, police said. Police said there were no signs of forced entry in each instance and suspect or suspects likely used a key or a set of keys that fit the tool boxes. The thefts occurred overnight on April 19 in the 1200 block of Chesapeake Drive and the 1100 block of Augusta Way, and again overnight on April 24 in the 1100 block of Augusta Way and the 1100 block of Meadow Oaks Drive. Police warn those with a pickup tool boxes containing valuable tools to keep the vehicle parked inside a locked garage or install heavy-duty hasp-type locks and sturdy padlocks on the boxes.

Roseville police searching for bank robber near Cirby and Sunrise

-rosevillept.com Roseville police are searching for a suspect who robbed a River City Bank in Roseville Thursday evening. Just after 5 p.m., the suspect walked into the bank inside of the Bel Air store at Sunrise Avenue and Cirby Way and handed a clerk a note demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank on foot. He was last seen heading toward Cirby Way. The robber is described as a white male in his 30s with a short, scruffy beard and mustache. He wore a yellow baseball cap with a neon green pattern, white-framed sunglasses, a long-sleeved gray T-shirt or sweater and blue jeans.
